The Cadaver of Hope
Plaintive cries of despair rise to a crescendo from the sorrowful spirit scattering moments into darkness Distant lights shining bright waver like flames of fire throwing quivering shadows on the life's space Horrendous, gloomy figures, of myriad shapes invade the night driving my being into a sordid abyss Like birds of darkness, shadows hover over my sky feeding on my soul devouring it's light Wrecked into loneliness I gaze at the distant horizons awaiting the harbinger of hope to imbue life with it's lost colours Hope arrives, but dead dragging hope's cadaver into its grave, I walk away to my home far away
