Song of Solitude

As Light falls, and
Darkness diffuses into nightly space,
I have not -
a home to go;
a heart to caress;
or a Soul to Mind

But,I have a poem to write;
a canvas to paint;
a glass to fill;
a song to sing; and
a dream to nurture

I free the longing words;
throw the chaotic colours;
sing in wilderness;
raise the glass
Of sour fluid
to Night's glory;
meditating on my Dreams

In distorted dizziness,
yielding to vices,
I wander,
in loneliness, singing
the song of Solitude
